The Wales Rally GB is the most highly-spectated single sports event in Great Britain, attracting an audience around the forests of Wales of approximately 200,000 every year, and a worldwide TV audience of 4.8 billion.

Every round of the World Rally Championship has it's own website which covers a whole host of information, from on-line coverage of each event to information to help the spectator. In the past, the Rally of Great Britain's official site, although a good e-commerce site for ticket information and purchasing, has not contained any detailed stage information for the rally spectator.

2003 sees the start of a new sponsorship arrangement for the Rally of Great Britain, hence the name change of the event. The Rally is now sponsored by the Welsh Development Agency. With the face of world rallying changing in the coming years, and the introduction of innovative technology such as GPS Tracking already evident at the 2002 Rally GB, it is even more important that the paying fan gets to know exactly what they want, and when they want it.

Throughout the year, this site will also keep the information flowing, and will be updated regularly, with news of competitors and spectators trips to the Rally GB, as well as guest picture galleries. As the event draws nearer, there will also be links to accommodation and a list of frequently asked questions.
