Loeb Crashes in Rally GB Test

The third day of Citroen driver Sebastien Loeb's pre- Rally GB test has been cut short by an accident. The French squad, which has confirmed its official participation with Loeb and Thomas Radstrom in the season's finale, had scheduled a five-day test in the forests of North Wales.

Loeb was on his penultimate run through a 1.2 mile stage in Dyfnant this afternoon when the accident happened. Both driver and co-driver emerged unscathed from the incident. Loeb explained: "During the run before, a stone had been kicked up into the sump guard. On the following run, I went straight on at a corner."

Although the session was cut short, the damage to the car was reportedly slight. Citroen plans to continue testing tomorrow.
