"I think John must have seen the smile on my face after driving the Group A car at Sweet Lamb. He’d rather concentrate on the Mark 1 Escort for the Safari and he asked me if I’d like to do the RAC. It’s a bit like Alen and Salonen in Finland - do it before it’s too late!" McRae said. He will be 60 when the rally starts. The Subaru will run in Jardine Lloyd Thompson
