Purchasing Tickets

Tickets for Wales Rally GB 2003 went on sale on Friday 15th August 2003. You are now able to buy tickets for selected single stages, Day Passes, Event Passes and World Rally Passes.

The official site says that "To avoid disappointment we would urge you to buy your ticket as soon as possible, and in advance of the event". I would take this advice, as although the stages are not as busy as they used to be, if you want to be in charge of your own destiny and choose exactly where YOU want to go, purchase your desired ticket as soon as you can.

Tickets are always sold on a first come, first served basis. You can order via the telephone or via the official website, up until 8th November 2003, but if you order via the telephone hotline or online on or after Monday 27th October 2003, your tickets will not be posted to you, as the organisers cannot guarantee delivery before your departure for the Rally. Instead, you will need to collect your tickets from the ticket collection point in front of Cardiff City Hall from 4th November 2003 onwards.

A booking fee of £2 per ticket will apply (was originally quoted as £1) and also a processing fee of £4.95 per transaction which includes postage.

So for example, purchasing 2 x Friday Passes, 2 x Saturday Passes and 2 x Forest Stage Passes for Rhondda will cost you £150.00 + £12.00 for the booking fee for the 6 tickets + £4.95 for post and packing, making a grand total of £160.95. Bear in mind that if you want to go to the Felindre Service Area and you are buying Day Passes you will have to pay an extra £7.50. In my opinion - don't bother !

Note that a child is one aged between 9-15 years old inclusive. A child of 8 years old or less is termed to be an infant and incurs no charge apart from the purchase of a grandstand seat at the Cardiff SuperSpecial. Children and infants must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

A dedicated telephone hotline - 0870 060 1764 - will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from Friday 15th August 2003. Calls will be charged at the National Call Rate. Alternatively, you can book online via the official website here. You will also be able to buy tickets at the ticket sales office at the CIA, Cardiff from 15th August until Monday 3rd November 2003 or in front of Cardiff City Hall from Tuesday 4th November through to Saturday 8th November, subject to availability.

On the day, you will be able to buy tickets at selected stages only.

Important Note:
Refund Policy:

"No refunds will be issued for any stages that are cancelled, whether in advance or on the day. Refunds equivalent to the price of the ticket, and including any booking fees but excluding any processing fees, will only be issued if the entire event is cancelled."
